The all-new Audi Q3 makes its first appearance
An Audi without a facelift was a bit like an old book waiting for a new edition that would never come. While the automotive world strives to prove that it evolves faster than a young driver in search of thrills, the Audi Q3 lagged behind, having been launched in 2018 — an eternity in the automotive universe. And here we are in 2025, ready for a fresh start, like an old vaudeville stepping back into the spotlight, dressed in a flashy new skin. The curtain finally rises on the all-new Q3, and this is a moment not to be missed.
A classic yet polished appearance
The first glance at the front right side of the third-generation Q3 reveals a headlight that, strangely, reminds one of the recent A3. This touch of familiarity, although somewhat bland, seems to accentuate the desire not to stand out in this urban jungle where every car tries to catch the buyer's eye like a kitten worn out from hours of play. But what were we really hoping for? A design so avant-garde that we would think of a spaceship? No, an SUV is meant to be... an SUV!
Technology and engine options: hope or despair?
As for the onboard technology, it seems the brand does not want to retire its dear old friends just yet. The new Q3 will not be equipped with the latest PPC platform, but rather the MQB Evo, the same one already used by trustworthy Volkswagens like the Passat and the Tiguan. It feels like Audi's grand technological painting is reduced to a palette of new colors that do not shock the eye. The engines, of course, will include mild hybrid and plug-in options, allowing those who cannot live without luxury to justify an absurd expense by displaying an ecological label. The good old automotive hypocrite, that's what the Q3 is!
Can't wait for June 16: the excitement is palpable
The big day is approaching quickly. On June 16, 2025, Audi will unveil its all-new Q3, which, hopefully, will put an end to the unbearable wait for enthusiasts thirsty for novelties. Can we expect anything? Perhaps. Let's dream a little: a turbo five-cylinder drawn from the RS 3? That could be a breath of fresh air in a world that seems to be running in circles with SUVs convinced they are more than just transport vehicles. Rumors are already circulating like gossip in a small neighborhood café.
In the meantime, the second-generation Q3 is still hanging around dealerships, the perennial handicapped vehicle of a design that doesn't budge and technologies that try to play along. At least, collectors of classic models can rub their hands together, as these things won’t lose value that quickly. If you’re one of those who love to wrap their luxury SUV while ensuring their comfort is guaranteed, why not take a look at what can be considered the Audi of a bygone era?
