Audi prepares 2025: launch of a giant SUV and a highly anticipated city car

It’s official, Audi is rising and coming out of its stupor after a 2024 that has been – how shall we say – barely passable. Like a phoenix, the German brand is making its plans for 2025, a year already prolific in promises with the arrival of, brace yourself, not one, but two new SUVs and a much-anticipated electric city car. But who can still swallow that without a hint of cynicism?

A giant SUV and a city car: Audi’s strategy

In the realm of automotive excess, Audi has always managed to make headlines. With the impending presentation of a colossal SUV, the famous Q9, Audi seems to want to play in the big league, that is, facing off against the titans that are the BMW X7 and the Mercedes GLS. Get ready for a vehicle that, with its monstrous dimensions, could even consider replacing the toll booths on congested highways, just like that!

An electric city car: a promise kept?

Alongside the Q9, dizzying newness, Audi is also looking to the future with an electric city car, which aims to be the most accessible Audi. Known for its stylistic and technological boldness, this car will undoubtedly become the new darling of the manufacturer. Currently referenced as the A2 e-tron, it aspires to charm urban dwellers tired of the classic compact car parade.

Audi facing current challenges

With electric car sales climbing, gradually catching up with rivals such as Tesla or even Renault, Audi will still need to navigate carefully. Despite a 4.6% increase in its revenue, it is clear that the 3.3% operating margin does not favor a supposedly premium brand image. The question that arises is whether these innovations will be enough to regain customer trust in the face of a Volkswagen plagued by routine troubles.

Competition: a slippery slope

Audi now has to face fierce competition, particularly from Hyundai and the Japanese such as Toyota and Peugeot. The challenge is to capture a substantial share of revenue while taking market trends into account. After all, the modern car user is more demanding than ever and will not settle for mere scraps of luxury in the midst of the electrification race.

An uncertain but promising future

Nonetheless, Audi remains on the path of evolution with launches planned for 2026. These models will certainly offer new perspectives, but for now, patience is key. Electric revolutions are set to be fierce, and it is around this promise that Audi must build its future.

I’m that guy they call when everyone else has already said, “It can’t be done.”Obsessed with engines, the smell of grease, and coffee that's way too strong, I spend my days grumbling about modern times while tinkering with stuff that goes faster than it probably should.I’ve got an opinion on everything — especially when nobody asks — and I never do things halfway: it’s either brilliant or a complete disaster. But hey, at least it’s never boring.I believe progress is great… as long as it doesn’t replace elbow grease, common sense, and a good old 12mm wrench. My style? Straightforward, raw, sometimes absurd, often funny (well, I think I’m funny). If you’re looking for someone discreet, politically correct, and ready to tell you what you want to hear… you’ve clearly knocked on the wrong workbench. But if what you want is real ideas, raw passion, and straight talk that smells like gasoline — welcome aboard.
